At Scotvale Medical our team of Doctors come from wide-ranging backgrounds and have various specialities that will suit many of your needs. Our Doctors are supported by a professional and caring nursing team along with our dedicated administration staff. Together, our team endeavours to assist you with the medical needs of your entire family.
Dr Sally Buchan
MB ChB
With almost 30 years experience in General Practice, Dr Sally Buchan commenced working with Scotvale Medical Centre in 1985!!
Dr Buchan graduated from the University of Otago in New Zealand in 1978. She worked at the Christchurch hospital for several years before travelling and working throughout London as a Locum Doctor. In 1984 Dr Buchan relocated to Australia and settled in Rockhampton.
Sally has since achieved her Certificate of Sclerotherapy in 2012 from the Australian College of Phlebology. Whilst continuing her GP practice, Dr Buchan also has a keen interest in Cosmetic Medicine including laser skin rejuvenation, cosmetic injectables and vein treatments.
Dr Buchan is an accredited Supervisor with UQ Rural Medical School and is responsible for the supervision of our future Doctors on placement ~ UQ medical students.
Dr Buchan is available for appointments Monday to Wednesday.
Dr. Sally Dela Cruz
MBBS FRACGP
Dr Sally Dela Cruz is an experienced GP having worked in General Practice in Australia for over 10 years. Dr Sally, as she is affectionately known, moved to Australia from her family home in Philippines in 2009.
In September 2011 Dr Sally joined our team at Scotvale Medical and has continued to study, achieving Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in December 2012.
Dr Sally thrives in all aspects of General Practice and has a particular interest in children's and women's health. Dr Sally is an accredited GP supervisor with JCU General Practice Training and enjoys teaching and supervising GP Registrars.
Dr Sally enjoys exploring the Central Queensland region with her friends and pottering in her beautiful garden.
Dr Sally Dela Cruz is available for appointments Monday to Friday.
Dr. Jai Kaushik
MBBS SCHP FRACGP
Dr Jai joins the Scotvale team moving to Rockhampton from Bairnsdale, Victoria.
Dr Jai is a young & experienced GP with a specialised degree of FRACGP, he has also completed a Diploma in Child Health (SCHP) from Sydney.
Dr Jai is highly skilled and has completed numerous trainings in skin cancer and cosmetic medicine. He is heavily invested in skin checks and skin procedures as well as having vast experience in chronic illnesses and men's health. Dr Jai also focuses his medicine on preventative health across all age groups, genders and ethnicities.
Dr Jai likes to be an active part of the community and is an avid cricketer, enjoys kayaking and a regular at the gym.
Dr Jai is available for appointments Monday - Friday.
Dr Sangeetha Leela Mony
MBBS FRACGP
Dr Sangeetha Mony hails from India and moved with her family to Australia in 2009. Dr Mony has enjoyed working in various hospitals throughout Queensland and the Northern Territory.
Dr Mony worked with the team at Scotvale Medical throughout 2017 during her GP Registrar training. Dr Mony achieved Fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) in 2017 and rejoined the Scotvale team in 2019. She brings with her a wealth of knowledge and experience in all aspects of General Practice.
Dr Mony is available for appointments on Monday - Friday.
James Han ~ Podiatrist
James Han has worked in private podiatry practice in the Rockhampton region for 7 years.
We welcomed James to our Scotvale Medical team in August 2019.
James was an industrial engineer in South Korea designing and managing production processes for 8 years. He moved to Australia in 2008 and graduated from the University of Newcastle with a Bachelor of Podiatry in 2012.James has a particular interest in diabetic foot care and foot problems associated with ingrown toenails, arthritis and sports injuries.
In his spare time, James enjoys spending time with his family and a little chihuahua at the beach.
